Hi Greg. Is this the place where I might get a suggestion on how to fix my Rec Teq? I am having temperature problems. Where do I go for answers? Thank you, Bill

I’d suggest contacting recteq directly, but if they cannot help there are members here those would have some good suggestions..
How do I use the griddle? I’ll lose a lot of heat if I’m cooking on it like a flat top.

It is somewhat impractial to use it with an open grill unless you have the latest version of the RT700 or above. If you look at the recommended high temperature for them, they shouldn’t go much above 450F ambient which would put them at about 550F. You just have to make sure the cooker is on long enough to get them really hot. You may also think about a cast iron skillet.

Yeah I should have done some research. Thinking I was going to stand there like a short order cook making breakfast for the family. When I didn’t see any YouTube videos using the griddle with the 590 that should have cued me in.

I did search, but can I set an alarm when my probe reaches a certain temperature? If so,how? Please and thank you

When you were searching for the alarm settings were the probes connected to the controller? I believe the probes must be connected to the controller before you get the option to set alarms on the App.
